El Western is primarily a summer-season property.  All our classic log cabins and lodges are available from May 1 to October 15 with the peak summer season falling from mid-June to mid-September.  Our “shoulder season” includes spring dates from May 1 to mid-June and fall from mid-September to October 15.  Whatever time you choose, Montana will provide a beautiful backdrop to our carefully maintained lawns and gardens.  Bear Creek runs clear all year and rarely freezes over – even in the coldest stretches of sub-zero winter weather.

Spring brings young wildlife and tulips that are carefully protected from the young wildlife!  By the end of June, the Madison River ends its run-off and the Salmon Fly hatch brings fisherman out of hibernation.  We celebrate the 4th of July and kick off summer with all the outdoor activities we can manage before it’s just time to put our feet up and take in the amazing scenery and wildlife.  Fall completes the cycle with the chilly nights and the welcome fireplaces of our Mountainside cabins.

From October 15 to May 1, our Creekside and Mountainside cabins close, but our Moose Lodge and Eagle’s Loft Lodge are available. Warm wood-burning fireplaces welcome guests after a snowshoe trek or cross-country ski outing.  The slower pace of winter gives guests a chance to relax and recharge.  Think of it as a cold beach!  Soothing, not demanding.  Complete information on rates, reservation, and cancellation policies for each season and our pet information can be found by visiting the rates pages
